How is it already time for another Weekend Roundup? This week absolutely FLEW by, and while technically, this is a place for me to talk about my weekend, I gotta talk a little bit about my past week too. If you know me personally, or have been reading my blog for awhile, you’ll know my uncle was running for sheriff. But before he could make it to the November election, he had to win the primary on August 2nd.
Good news! He won! And we are all so excited. So for all of you reading this that voted for him… thank you 🙂
Trev and I spent this weekend at our apartment, still playing catch up in getting everything done that we haven’t gotten to yet this summer. While we did quite a bit around the house, we took some time to enjoy ourselves too!
We saw Suicide Squad (I was SO excited… I mean Cara Delevinge AND Margot Robbie? You know I’m there). We loved it!
We finished our wedding thank yous and sent them out Saturday morning! We were pretty darn proud of ourselves, it only took us 3 days to write them all out. Gold star for us. But oh my goodness, I didn’t think Trev was going to make it through. Make a man write more than 10 thank you notes, and he turns back into a first grader that wants to go to recess instead of work on his writing! HAHA
We also got our Primanti Bros. fix this weekend! 2 years ago, we stopped at the original Primanti’s (in Pittsburgh’s Strip District), on our way home from a trip to DC. We freakin loved it. And have been craving it again ever since we drove out of the parking lot. Lucky for us, they opened one of their chains about a half hour from where we live. It was delicious, and ALMOST as good as being back in Pittsburgh.
There was some sort of festival going on down the road from us, so we got to catch some fireworks last night too.
Trev had to work today, so I spent the morning curled up watching last nights new Hallmark movie. It was fantastic!
Tonight, we’re cooking dinner and watching the Olympics. Because let’s be honest, that’s pretty much all we’ll be doing all week. We LOVE the Olympics over here! And Trev has a couple of his past athletes competing in different events… which is crazy cool!
Hope you’re all enjoying your weekends too!
