Oh my goodness you guys. I’ve done absolutely nothing this weekend and it has been seriously wonderful. It’s been SO LONG since Trev and I stayed at our apartment for the weekend and got to just hang out. (Yeah. My weekend pretty much looked exactly like that picture…)
Friday night, we went for a walk at our favorite park and picked up Chinese food for dinner. There wasn’t really anything on TV so we found the show “Superstore” on demand. We were in stitches by the end of the first episode, and literally watched the entire first season that night. When it was over, we set the DVR so the second season records for us!
Saturday we spent the day watching college football. Michigan was killing UCF so we turned on the Oklahoma State/Central Michigan game. OH. MY. GOD. I don’t think I’ve yelled/ screamed that loud at the tv since last years Michigan/Michigan State game. (Which we still don’t talk about in our house.) In case you’ve been living under a rock, and haven’t heard about the massive upset, you can watch it here. Even if you’re not a football fan, you gotta see it! It was freakin’ insane.
We finished out our lazy day snuggled in bed watching Now You See Me 2. I’m going to be honest, I only watched the first one because Dave Franco was in it, and didn’t really expect to like it. But it was SO GOOD. I’ve seen it at least 20 times, so I was really excited to see the second! Trev and I both really liked it, but we definitely missed Isla Fisher in this one.
Today we planned to spend all day exploring Hell, Michigan. I’ll be writing about our time there tomorrow. But guys, we were there for 20 minutes and saw everything! We’re still laughing about that. So instead, we’re having our friends come over for the Lions game soon!
My Patriots are also playing tonight, and I’m still going to wear my Brady jersey proudly. After tonight, only 3 more games. (Yeah, for those of you who don’t know, I’m literally one of the world’s biggest Tom Brady fans. I have been ever since 8th grade, and I ALWAYS will be.)
And last, I just want to take a moment to say that my thoughts are with those who are still mourning the losses of loved ones from the terrible attacks 15 years ago. I was 11, and will never, ever be able to forget that day. I remember being so terrified, scared and heartbroken. To this day, I still try to avoid the news and History channel on September 11th. The replaying of those clips takes me right back, and I can’t help but become overwhelmed with sadness. On days like today, that remind me that your world can be turned upside down in seconds, I always make sure to say an extra prayer, and hug my loved ones just a little bit tighter. I urge you to do the same.
I hope you’re all enjoying your weekends! I CAN NOT WAIT for next weekend. We’re heading back to my hometown because my cousin is FINALLY getting married to his high school sweetheart! We’ve already considered her family for years, but it’s super exciting to know that it will finally be official!
I’ll see you tomorrow, with a post from Hell. Literally!
P.S- Sorry I don’t have any photos from this weekend! I figured you wouldn’t want to just see pictures of my TV. HAHA
