Hey Everyone! Happy Happy Happy Thursday! You guys. I’m SO EXCITED that the weekend starts tomorrow. I literally am counting down the minutes until Date Night because I feel like I’ve barely seen Trev this week, and because I’m ready for it to be the weekend. Weekends are just the best… am I right?!
Now that Halloween is over, and November is in full swing, I’m sure you’re starting to think about one of the best days of the year. The day we get to stuff our faces with delicious food, be with our loved ones, and think about what we are thankful for is finally upon us. And if you’re anything like me, you’re already planning out your Thanksgiving feasts! In my family, no feast is complete without a yummy cocktail to go with it.
This year, you can make any cocktail you want taste like Fall in a Cup with these simple vodka infusions from Shari’s Berries!
With SIX different infusions to choose from, and a few items you probably already have laying around your kitchen, your Thanksgiving Cocktail Game is about to be on fleek. (Are the kids still saying that these days? No? God I’m old.)
Eek! You guys! I’ve been SO pumped to try infusing some vodka for you ever since Shari’s Berries reached out to me! Are you ready to see just how easy it is to make some infused vodka?!
Let’s get started!
First things first… pull up this post to find all the Vodka Infusion Recipes. Now the hard part… pick one! I decided on Apple Pear Cinnamon because I thought it would be PERFECT in an Apple Cider Moscow Mule on Thanksgiving. (Spoiler alert… I was right!)
Now, get your ingredients! Most of the vodka infusions call for only a handful of ingredients. I literally only needed an apple, a pear, a cinnamon stick, and of course, vodka. (I used Absolut. I’m a sucker for their holiday packaging!)
I chopped up my apple and pear, and threw it into my quart sized Mason Jar.
Next, I put in my cinnamon sticks. (I know the recipe only called for one, but I decided to put in two because I really love cinnamon!)
Then, I poured in my vodka, sealed the jar and let it sit for the amount of time that was given.
A few days later, I opened up my jar and you guys. IT SMELLED SO GOOD. It literally tasted just like this Apple Pie Moonshine Trev and I used to like to make. But unlike making Apple Pie Moonshine, this infused vodka was an absolute breeze to make!
So how am I using my “homemade vodka” this Thanksgiving?! In an Apple Cider Moscow Mule of course! Sound delicious to you too? Here’s what you’ll need.
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
- Ice (Enough for in your shaker and in your cups)
- 1.5 oz Apple Pear Cinnamon Infused Vodka
- 4 oz Hard Apple Cider (I just used Reds)
- 4 oz. Ginger Beer
- Apple Chunks and Cinnamon Sticks (for Garnish)
In a cocktail shaker, add ice cubes, hard cider, ginger beer, and vodka. Shake.
Pour mixture in copper cup over ice.
Garnish with apple chunks and a cinnamon stick.
Guys. I can’t even begin to tell you how yummy this is! I promise you… this is the drink you need to go alongside your turkey and stuffing this Thanksgiving!
