Welp. Let’s just get it out of the way. My Pats lost last night and TBH I’m pretty devastated.
If you know me, you know I love Tom Brady and the Patriots with everything I have and seeing them lose when I wanted it so badly for them was really, really, really tough. Win or Lose, they’re my team, and I can’t wait for next season. This minor bump in the dynasty road will just make next year’s ring that much sweeter 🙂
Forever and always… GO PATS!
Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about our weekends, shall we?! I hope your weekend was exactly what you needed. I know (at least part!) of mine was!
My weekend started really early (for me at least!) on Friday. I was home before 5:00 and guys. That felt SO GOOD. I was pumped because it was Date Night and this Friday, we decided to stay home, order Chinese, work on our puzzle and listen to this week’s Small Town Murder.
OMG. Side note. This podcast doesn’t usually bother me, but this week’s made me feel sick to my stomach… and I cried. If you haven’t checked out this podcast (Which you should! It’s one of my favs!) don’t start with “The Neighborhood Cannibal in South Kingstown Rhode Island”. It is not for the faint of heart. (This one is about a 5 year old. And I spend my days with 5 year olds so it just really made me want to go to work and hug all my babies so dang tight.)
Also! Trev and I have v. different ways of doing puzzles. He’s a “do the outside then fill it in” kind of guy, where I’m a “find a spot you like and start putting it together and organize pieces into piles that match as you go” kinda girl. We each CAN’T STAND how the other works on puzzles! HAHA How do you do your puzzles?
I can officially say that we found out this week my way is better 🙂 (Our table was too small for all the pieces so after we did the outside we had to start working on cookie sheets because there was no room to actually work!)
Saturday we were up early-ish, because Trev was heading to The Cage. He made me coffee and we snuggled in bed watching The Office. (Ahhhh we only have like 5 episodes left!)
Since I was up, I headed to Target and Dollar Tree to pick up some stuff for School and you know, wander around Target because that’s one of my favorite pastimes. For the first time EVER I walked out with only what I needed so I was like, super proud of myself.
When Trev got home, we spent entirely too long taking my new passport photo. (I need to get it renewed!) But guys, I was actually really happy with how it turned out! (And I won’t be embarrassed showing it to people for the next 10 years!) So I’ve decided I’ll be sharing my secrets on how I did my own photos with you later this month!
Saturday night was grocery shopping and more puzzling. (I swear. We’re actually 80 year olds.)
I spent Sunday morning curled up on the couch with the newest issue of The Magnolia Journal! I love when it’s delivered to my mailbox! It has, of course, inspired me in so many ways! I can’t wait for Spring to get here!
AND THEN I FOUND OUT KYLIE JENNER HAD HER FREAKIN’ BABY. Y’ALL THIS IS NOT A DRILL. SHE HAD HER BABY AND THEN MADE AN 11 MINUTE VIDEO THAT I SAT ON MY COUCH WATCHING AND CRYING MY EYES OUT ESPECIALLY WHEN THE NURSE HANDED HER THE SWEET LITTLE GIRL AT THE END AND YOU SAW HER LITTLE FINGERS AND I JUST CAN’T.
Like I said before, I don’t Keep Up With The Kardashians. I just follow them on Insta. But damn did I care about Kylie having that baby. I’m just happy she’s so happy. And I can’t wait to see if Mini Kylie came out already able to do a full face of makeup.
Anddddd you already know how the rest of my Sunday went. Ugh. Not a great start to my week. However, I have SO many good posts coming at you this week on Savannah Said It! We have another installment in my Capturing Your Travels Series, a #WhatUpWednesday AND I’m partnering with a company I love to share something really fun with you!
It’s going to be a GREAT week on the blog at least, so be sure to subscribe! Every post will be delivered right to your inbox and you won’t miss a thing!
Oh… AND THE OLYMPICS START THIS WEEK! Eeek! Trev and I are so pumped! I’m def. a Winter Olympics kind of girl (he likes the Summer Olympics more) and can not wait to be glued to my television and care way more
about sports I don’t watch unless the X Games are on than I should!
Have a Happy Monday my friends. Let’s power through this week together!
