Hey Everyone!! Happy Sunday! I hope this post finds you well rested and out enjoying the beautiful Sunshine! (I hope it’s as sunny for you as it is in Metro Detroit today.)
My weekend has been pretty much the exact opposite of what I was hoping for it to be. Guess who finally got hit with the Flu?!
Yup. 98% of my weekend looked like this…
I was beyond lucky to have this guy by my side. We had big plans for celebrating Valentine’s Day this weekend and didn’t get to do any of them. He never complained, brought me beautiful flowers, fed me every meal in bed, and let me watch hours upon hours of Hart of Dixie without complaining once. I hit the jackpot in the husband lotto.
And while dinner and drinks for our Valentine’s date got thrown to the side, I absolutely refused to miss out on seeing the Small Town Murder podcast guys that we had tickets for. We literally threw on comfy sweatshirts (we were so underdressed!) and headed to Ferndale. I’m so glad we went! We had ended up with perfect seats and they were absolutely amazing!
I will be sure to link the podcast that we heard when it goes live! It was totally gruesome and soooo not for the faint of heart. But man, were those guys funny! It was a little different than their normal podcasts because they also had Dan Cummins with them. So it was a Small Town Murder and Times Suck mash up. Which was great! But it was different than normal.
The rest of the weekend? Well, I was either napping or working on our puzzle.
So while our weekend wasn’t what we were hoping for, I was happy to spend it snuggled up with my boys!
How was your weekend?! I hope you weren’t sick like me. (PS… I’m feeling a lot better today than I was on Friday! Still pretty tired, and still under the weather. But at least I can function!)
We’re about to get some warm weather here in The D (like 62 on Tuesday!) and it seems like my super long hours at work are about to be a thing of the past. It’s looking like this week is going to be a good one! (Plus we’re heading Up North next weekend and I just can’t wait to go HOME!)
Have a great rest of your Sunday everyone! I’ll be back tomorrow with a Mitten Monday post.
