Hey Guys! I’m coming to you LIVE from my living room couch, under approximately 15 blankets and a chocolate shake in my hand. (Hence the 15 blankets! HAHA) Our house is clean, the laundry is done, the groceries are put away, and I’ve got the rest of my evening to stay right here, snuggled up happy as can be. I’m still riding high from such a perfect weekend… and I’m really really bummed that it’s already over!
We had such a great weekend Up North with my family! I just want to take a quick minute to shout out to my parents. They are so dang good to Trev and I, and I don’t know what we’d do without them. They give us constant support, lift our spirits when we’re feeling a bit down, and always make sure the weekend is about us. We basically get a perfect little getaway from real life whenever we visit, and we are so dang thankful for that! They really are the best!
We headed to Manistee Friday night, as soon as we got out of work. The drive was long, but we had fun listening to our podcasts while we made the trip! We had warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for us (YUM) and spent some time catching up with my parents and pups.
Saturday morning, Trev headed to a gym in Ludington to get a lift in, while I went with my parents to stuff pancakes in my face.
I’m hungry again just looking at this picture. After breakfast we visited with my Grandparents and of course went for a beach ride.
Saturday afternoon we headed to the Manistee Home Show. We had fun walking around signing up to win prizes we’ll probably never win, and getting free stuff! (Because that’s what shows like that are good for!)
After the Home Show, we grabbed some lunch, took some blog photos and ate some ice cream on the beach! It was so sunny and starting to feel like Spring!
Saturday night we headed to TJs for dinner (obvi), caught a sunset, and hung out at home.
This morning, we woke up and had a big breakfast and lounged around all morning. I was SO not ready to leave when it came time to pack up!
We said our goodbyes and made the long drive back to Detroit. The sun was shining and the roads weren’t busy… which made for a perfect day for a drive home! Four hours later, we unloaded the car, went grocery shopping, unpacked, meal prepped and got dinner in the oven.
And now? Well… you already know what I’m doing 🙂
I hope you all had just as perfect of a weekend as we did! All this gorgeous, sunny weather has got me thinking Spring! Speaking of… it’s all about Spring Break this week on the blog! I can’t wait to share all my favorite things about College Spring Break with all of you!
