Hey Hey Happy Wednesday!
It’s another Wednesday, and another day that I get to tell you What’s Up in my life. And since I missed last week’s #WhatUpWednesday, this one is going to be extra big 🙂
What I’m Loving
My new hair! My long layers and balayage are super subtle but have seriously made the biggest difference. It looks SO.GOOD. every day. I literally haven’t washed it in days (I only wash my hair twice a week as it is) and it doesn’t even look greasy and gross yet because it’s lighter. I’m ready for summer with this hair, but to be honest, I’m thinking I’m going to keep it like this all year round. (If you’re looking for someone to give you perfect hair, check out Angie Froncek in the GR area. She’s so great guys! Find her salon here.)
What I’m Bummin’ About
I’m pretty bummed that I’m not heading home this weekend for Easter! It’s literally the first holiday EVER that I’m not going to be spending with my family, and I’m really, really sad about it. I can practically smell all the delicious food at my Grandma’s house and I’m seriously sad I’m going to be missing out on it. (Have you seen my Easter Brunch post with FTD Floral?) We’ll be with Trev’s family though, so we’re still celebrating Easter! Just slightly differently than I’m used to. I will say, I’m excited to be with our niece on her first Easter!
What I’m Excited About
Eeeek Tomorrow! It’s Opening Day which means, Baseball is Back! I’m so excited. We’re going to be working for the Tigers again this summer. (But just on the weekends this year for me!) I’m sad I won’t be at the park tomorrow, but you know I’ll be there in Spirit! I did a post about working at the ball park last September when our season came to an end. Check it out here! Go Tigs! Let’s have a winning season 🙂
What I’m Tired Of
I’M SICK AND TIRED OF KILLING PLANTS GUYS. I got a beautiful orchid from one of my students for Valentine’s Day and IT’S ALREADY DEAD. Someone with a green thumb help a sister out. How do I get better at taking care of my plants? It seems like no matter what I do I kill them within a week.
What I’m Eating
I’m CRAVING all things warm weather… and that includes my food! We’re grilling brats and made pasta salad for dinner tonight and seriously, the end of my work day can’t come soon enough! We found the trick awhile ago for the most perfect pasta salad! Find out our secret, here.
What I’m Jealous Of
And since my brain is so warm weather focused rn, I’m obvi super jealous of everyone on Spring Break or everyone that’s heading to the airport within the next few days! I’ll just be here, all alone, in Michigan, crying until someone puts me in their suitcase and takes me along… (Feel bad enough to take me with you yet?! Hahahaha)
What I’m Thinking Of
Today I was digging for my favorite Tigers shirt to wear tomorrow and couldn’t find it. That’s when I realized… I have too many clothes. Like way way way way too many clothes. Next weekend, I’m dedicating an afternoon to clearing out my closet and donating the clothes I no longer wear. I still have clothes that I’ve been holding on to since high school “just in case” and it’s getting ridiculous! Spring is a time for new beginnings. And I’m starting a new beginning in my closet. #Deep
What I’m Dreaming About
… A trip to Waco, Texas! I just finished last night’s Fixer Upper and The Magnolia Table looks like the restaurant of my DREAMS. I could eat those biscuits every day and die happy. Have you seen the photos and menu yet?! If not, click here! You gotta see this place! Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to check on flights to Waco.
What I’m Reminiscing About
Speaking of Texas, I’ve been thinking a lot about San Antonio lately! With the Final Four only a few days away, I know there are thousands of basketball fans making their way to this gorgeous city! If you’re one of those fans, I’ve got your covered for when you want to see something other than inside the Alamodome! Find my guides to San Antonio below!
San Antonio Missions
(My number one thing I’d tell you to do in San Antonio!)
So my loves, What’s Up in your lives?!
I’ll be back tomorrow!
