Hi there my loves! Long time no talk, am I right? For the second week in a row, I failed miserably at getting a post up on time… so you haven’t heard from me since Wednesday. I’m so sorry! Again, life got in the way, and my sickness came back. When I got home from work I ended up falling asleep almost instantly… which is why your post didn’t get up in time. However, it’s a REALLY good one and it’s going up TOMORROW instead. You’re going to love it, I promise!
And now that I’ve caught you up on why I was MIA last Thursday, let’s catch up on our weekends, shall we?
My weekend started out on Friday after work. I was supposed to attend my company’s holiday party. I was SO excited about it, and even bought the cutest new dress to wear… but I was so sick. I had a fever, I couldn’t stop coughing and felt like throwing up. I ended up going to sleep at 7:30 and sleeping all through the night.
Luckily, I woke up feeling SO much better on Saturday morning, so we didn’t have to cancel our date day. We headed downtown for breakfast at Dime Store (OMG so good) and to check out the Auto Show!
The rest of Saturday we laid low. We did our grocery shopping and laundry and I napped a whole lot.
We also received some not great news on Friday that Trev’s great aunt had passed away. So today, we headed down to Blissfield to pay our respects and spend a little bit of time with his family. The funeral home is never the place you want to catch up with family, but it was especially nice to see our sweet little niece for a few minutes. We were really missing her!
This evening we’ve been prepping for some SERIOUS weather that’s about to drop down on us this week. Apparently tomorrow we’re getting a huge snow storm followed by two days of the coldest temperatures Michigan has ever seen. Fingers crossed they decide to cancel life and we can snuggle up at home and not move.
How were your weekends?! I hope they were filled with all the things you love most.
I’ll be back TOMORROW with the post I’ve been promising you since Thursday. And I promise, you’re going to love it. And if you’re reading this from anywhere in the Midwest that’s getting hit with the same storm we are, STAY SAFE.
