Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends! I hope you’re all reading this with bellies full of Guinness 🙂
It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL out today! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and my heart is bursting with all the feels of March Madness.
I’m not a fan of basketball really, but I always find myself GLUED to the TV every March watching more College Hoops in one day than the rest of the year combined. I LIVE for upsets, buzzer beaters and school spirit! I can’t wait to get my bracket filled out tonight! Will you be filling out a bracket too? If you’re like me and kind of know NOTHING about basketball, check out this guide I shared awhile back on how I make my picks every year!
But, we’re not here to talk about basketball (yet) we’re here to talk about our weekends!
Our weekend started out on Friday. We both had not the best days, so we were thrilled to get home and head out for Date Night. We headed to one of our favorite bars, The Rusty Nail, for fish and chips and Summer Shandy! (So glad it’s back. It’s one of my favorite summer beers!)
And in typical Savannah/Trevor date night fashion, we headed to Target after dinner and then snuggled up in bed to watch some Netflix.
Saturday we were up early… we had a busy day ahead of us! We got our taxes done first thing in the morning then headed downtown to do a little shopping for our soon to be born nephew! (He should be here any day now!) When Emmy was born, we took her a gift from one of our favorite places, Glen Arbor. We wanted to get him something special from a place we’ve learned to love and call home, Detroit.
We went shopping and spent some time at The Fisher Building enjoying all the little shops and sipping on coffee from Stella Good! It was a really perfect morning that tbh, we both really needed!
As we headed towards UDM, we stopped for some Bucharest to take to Trev’s office with us!
We ate lunch quick before his Women’s Lacrosse game started. It was SO FREAKIN’ COLD but I was so happy to be there to cheer on Trev’s girls!
That being said… I am so not meant to stand out in the blustery cold for long periods of time! Super thankful for the live stream so I could watch from Trev’s cozy chair in his office. HAHA
When we got home we had plans to get all our grocery shopping and cleaning done… but we ended up sitting down and binging watching a bunch of new episodes of Queer Eye. (Ugh. We love that show SO much!)
This morning we woke up early to get our errands, cleaning and laundry done so that we could celebrate St. Patty’s Day this afternoon! (And by celebrate I mean drink Guinness under blankets on our couch while we read.)
Now, dinner is in the oven and we’ve got the selection show on the TV. I’m planning to take a bath, do a face mask, and continue reading! I’m finally diving into Winter in Paradise (by my girl Elin Hilderbrand of course) AND I CAN’T PUT IT DOWN. Sooooo good! If you haven’t read it yet, go pick it up!
How were your weekends? Are you feeling rested and ready for this week?
Have a fantastic rest of your Sunday my friends. I’ll be back tomorrow!
