Hey Loves! Happy Sunday. It’s the most beautiful, sunny day here in Metro Detroit and the sunshine was exactly what my soul needed.
It’s been a really hard couple of days for me. They’ve been full of tears, sleeping and healing. I honestly didn’t do much this weekend and have literally like 3 pictures… so this round up will be a short one! (Also, I’d like to apologize for just how rough I look in the few photos I do have. The past few days have taken a toll on me and it’s clearly obvious.)
My weekend didn’t begin until really late Friday night. We had a work training/party that went until 10:00. I was exhausted by the time I left. But our guest speaker was great and they fed us pizza and beer!

Saturday I was on my own. Trev was at the final day of a conference, so I took the day to do some self care and get some errands done! I slept in, snuggled with Jacksy Cat, made a quick Target run, and was home before 11 am! I spent the rest of the day FaceTiming with my family, doing face masks, attempting to keep my mind busy and napping.

When Trev got home we ordered pizza and watched The Kentucky Derby! (I know nothing about horse racing, but I was not happy with that ending!) I finished the night out with a bath and we finally watched Super Troopers 2! (I needed a good laugh, and that was just the ticket!)

Today, we slept in and had coffee and stroop waffles! (Our favorite Sunday morning routine.) I showered up and we headed out to do some errands and celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

After lunch I headed out on our mini deck to work on my lesson plans for the week and enjoy the sunshine.

And now, I’m getting my students Mother’s Day present ready so they can wrap them this week and watching The Office until it’s GOT time!
It was a very chill, kind of boring weekend. But it was exactly what I needed. How were your weekends?! I hope they were fantastic!
Alright my loves, I’m signing off for the night. I’ll be back tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Xx.
