Hi Friends! Happy, happy Tuesday! No… I didn’t have a nice long weekend that is prompting a late weekend round up. I just didn’t get my post up yesterday. BUT I had such a good weekend I wanted to share it with you anyways! So let’s get right to it.
This weekend was a weekend at home for us and we loved every second of it. We relaxed, we did Fall things and we started a few new projects on the house! Overall, it was such a good weekend!
Our weekend started out early on Friday. I was the early person at work and got to leave at 3:30! (My favorite kind of Friday!) I came home, changed and picked up Trev. We were going to head out and do a little shopping! I had a few things that I needed to pick up at all of my favorite stores… Target, Home Goods, Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I promised Trev quick trips into each. But guys… they all had CHRISTMAS stuff out! I was SO PUMPED. I couldn’t help myself and bought a few little things to add to my Christmas decor collection. We also made a stop at the Halloween store and Home Depot. By the time we finished our shopping it was late and we were starving! We picked up Red Robin (yummmm) on the way home and snuggled in for the night to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. I ended up sound asleep on the couch by 8:30. Wild Friday night.
Saturday I was up early to share my newest collab with Hudsonville Ice Cream with all of you! Did you see it?! I shared two ways to use their Limited Edition Cinnamon Sugar Cookie ice cream! If you haven’t seen it yet, click here! You HAVE to try the two recipes I shared.
I had a few cups of coffee while I waited for Trev to get up, and then we got ready to head to Trader Joe’s! We had a few things we wanted to pick up and wanted to try to beat the crowds! Trader Joe’s also happens to be close to one of our favorite lunch spots, The Rusty Bucket. We had a fun little day date!
When we got home, I spent the afternoon taking pictures for a blog post you’re going to see this Thursday (it’s Halloween inspired!) and Trev worked in his garage. He made something with wood, but tbh I don’t know what it was. It looked like a giant rectangle to me.
Saturday night it was pumpkin carving date night! We carved pumpkins, ate candy, watched Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown anddddd played our new favorite game, Monopoly Deal.
Sunday we woke up and it was cold and rainy. We rolled out of bed and went to pick up McDonald’s breakfast in our PJs andddd our grocery order too. We spent the rest of the morning cleaning, doing laundry and meal prepping for the week. When the rain cleared, we headed outside to hang our new lights and mailbox! I love love love love them so much!
Now I reallllly can’t wait to paint our house next spring! It will be so beautiful! Our lights are an Amazon find (we have them on each side of the garage too) and our mailbox is from Pottery Barn! (FYI I ordered mine in July and it was backordered until October. It appears to be in stock right now though, so if you like it, buy it!)
Oh. And how cute is Jackson in his Halloween costume?
Sunday night we made tomato soup and grilled cheese and watched football as another storm rolled in. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend at home!
How were your weekends?! I hope they were just as relaxing as mine!
Alright my loves, I’m signing off for the night. I’ll be back tomorrow with a #WhatUpWednesday!
