You guys. We’re an entire month into 2021 and I haven’t managed to get up a single #WhatUpWednesday! I’m so disappointed in myself because these are my favorite posts to write! I’ve been having extremely long days at work and by Wednesday I get a bit burnt out… which is why my posts have been missing. SO today, I’m bring you an extra big #WhatUpWednesday and making a promise to myself to get better about pre-writing my posts so I don’t miss them every week!
Alright my loves, buckle up. You’re about to get a months worth of things I’ve been loving!
What I’ve Been Watching
Ah! I feel like I’ve been watching so much lately! I binge watched Bridgerton a few weeks ago and became OBSESSED. (More on that in a minute.) If you haven’t seen it yet you need to! It’s like Gossip Girl but make it the 1800s. SO GOOD. I’ve also been watching The Bachelor, of course! I really love Matt James! Trev and I look forward to Friday nights because we’ve been watching WandaVision together. I know people have super mixed feelings on this show, but I really like it! Full disclosure, I’m not big into the Marvel movies. It’s not that I don’t like them, I just never make it more than 15 minutes in before falling asleep with the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy. (Which I loved.) I think not really knowing what was happening helped me to figure out what’s actually going on in the show! I told Trev my theory and BLEW HIS MIND. Because it’s 1000% right. And I won’t right it here because it would be a spoiler 🙂
What I’ve Been Reading
Guys. I am SO proud of myself. My goal was to read 12 books this year… and I’ve already read 7! This is mostly because I fell in love with The Bridgertons! After I watched the show, I couldn’t not know what happened next so I started reading the novels. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, tbh. (I think that was because I loved the TV show much and how Simon and Daphne were portrayed. I feel like they were better versions of themselves on TV than in the novel.) But I have loved every book after. (Especially Benedict’s!) Each book is based on the love life of a different Bridgerton sibling, all in order by their name with the exception of the first book, which is Daphne’s! If you like the show I highly recommend these books. I’m about half way through the series. They’re easy reads that you can’t put down! Speaking of easy reads, I’ve also read two non Bridgerton books that were amazing! Of course, Queen Elin Hilderbrand put out the last installment in her Winter in Paradise series late last year. I finally got around to reading it this January and loved it. I sobbed when it was over because I was so attached to those characters. I didn’t want it to end! I really wish this wasn’t just a trilogy. I also read the book that everyone has been talking about lately called The Idea of You. This is like every girls Harry Styles fantasy come true. It was so addictive I couldn’t put it down! Basically the main character is a 39 year old divorcee who falls in love with a 20 year old member of a boyband. Hayes, the boyband member is LITERALLY Harry Styles. Don’t believe me? Read this article. What starts as just lunch turns into a globe trotting secret affair that doesn’t end like you want it to. They travel the globe and it’s super luxe and the ultimate escape from your every day life. It was SO SO good. Dare I say my favorite book I’ve read so far this year? Probably because it allowed me to travel to Paris with Harry Styles…
What I’ve Been Listening To
I’ve been really into Disney podcasts lately! We were hoping to go to Disney this year but have put those plans aside because of Covid. So I’m living vicariously through my favorite Disney Instagrammers and Podcasters! I really like Capture The Magic and Main Street Magic. I’ve also been jamming to Tay Tay like everyday.
What I’ve Been Working Out To
Another one of my 2021 goals was to work out more and I can proudly say that I’m doing SO well! I did Blogilates’ 21 Day Challenge in January just to try to get back into the habit of working out. And guys… it’s freakin’ worked! I loved this challenge because it was one video a day that only lasted 21 minutes. It was super attainable and I didn’t get bored with it. Now, I make sure I do at least one 20ish minute workout as soon as I get home from work, before we eat dinner. I like to mix it up now, but I always turn to my staples: Blogilates, The Fitness Marshall, Tone it Up and Chloe Ting!
What I’ve Been Eating
Brinner! We’ve been making Breakfast for Dinner at least once a week. Sometimes it’s eggs, hash browns and bacon. Other times it’s ice cream pancakes. And more often than not, it’s my super simple biscuit recipe that we can’t get enough of. No matter what we make it’s all freakin’ delicious.
What I’ve Been Shopping For
All the things for our bedroom! I’m so excited to show you how it’s coming a long! We’ve been focusing on the upstairs of our home this year and we’ve made some pretty great improvements! You’ll be seeing a House update soon!!!
What I’ve Been Cringing About
My finger! I took a chunk out of it while grating cheese on Sunday and it hurts and just thinking about it and all the blood gives me the heebie jeebies.
What I’m Happy About
I’ve been having a heck of a week, but today the sun was out! I got home a bit later than I hoped, but we bundled up and went for a walk. It felt SO good to be outside and get some fresh air.
What I’m Excited About
Restaurants in Michigan opened back up yesterday! I can’t wait to go out to dinner on Friday night! We’re going to go to a place that we’ve been to a zillion times and know their social distancing protocols. We can’t wait to have a “real” date night. We haven’t had one in almost a year!
So my friends, what’s up in your lives?!
Alright my loves. No new post tomorrow… but I’ll be back next week 🙂 Have the best rest of your weeks and even better weekends! And don’t forget to cheer on TB12 this weekend too!
