Hi Friends!!! Happy, happy Tuesday! I’m still in the best mood today because TOM BRADY WON ANOTHER SUPER BOWL! When I tell you I cried because I was so happy, I’m not even kidding. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself 🙂 Let’s rewind back to Friday!
Our weekend started out on Friday evening with us doing something we haven’t done in almost a year… Friday Night Date Night at a freakin’ restaurant! We were SO thrilled to be able to get out and enjoy dinner not from a take out container. We picked a restaurant close to home that we’ve been to many times and have ordered from many times throughout the pandemic. We knew their covid protocols and felt totally safe dining in! That being said, we aren’t ready to make this a weekly thing again just yet. But it sure made us really happy and started our weekend out right!
When we got home we snuggled up on the couch to watch WandaVision and started a movie… which I promptly fell asleep for before the title even made it to the screen.
Saturday we woke up and it was SO COLD outside. We snuggled on the couch and watched the new episode of Fixer Upper on Discovery+ before getting started with our days. Trev is working on building me nightstands for our bedroom so he spent his day in his heated garage sawing away! I steam cleaned our carpet and organized my holiday decorations on our storage shelves in the basement.
I also finally put up my super cute little shelves that I found at 5Below in our guest bedroom!
Saturday night we made dinner and started a new puzzle. A v. wild evening.
Sunday we woke up and it was “get everything done for the week that we possibly can so we can sit and watch the super bowl without having to worry about anything” time. We grocery shopped, did laundry, cleaned the house and meal prepped. I caught up on some reading and tried to relax as much as I could because I knew the week ahead would be a busy one. Before we knew it, it was game time!
I was so excited/nervous/anxious to watch Tom Brady take on the Chiefs! I was just lowkey anxious the entire time and trying to keep myself occupied with face masks and Solitaire.
When they finally won I FREAKED OUT. I was so excited for TB12! Ring number 7 baby!! He truly is the GOAT. I stayed up wayyyy past my bedtime to watch the post game show and was way too amped to sleep when I finally did make it to my bed.
Which is why when I got home from work last night I CRASHED and did not get this post up like I had planned 😂
I always feel kind of weird talking about my weekend on a Tuesday evening because really, we’re almost half way to our next weekend at this point! Oh well… couldn’t miss a chance to brag about Tom Brady 🙂
Alright my loves. I’m signing off for the night. I’ll be back tomorrow with a #WhatUpWednesday! I’ll see you then.
PS… sorry for the lack of photos. I barely took any this weekend!
