Hi Friends! Happy, happy Monday! Last year, I did a Spring Cleaning Series on my blog, and I know that you all loved it! So, I thought I’d bring it back this year, and share some new tips and tricks for deep cleaning your home.
In the past year, we’ve all gotten so much better with cleaning and disinfecting. Personally, I know that my house has never been as germ free on a weekly basis as it is now. Every week we wipe down door handles, disinfect touch points and wash our most used items. But even though our house has never been cleaner than it is on a weekly basis, I’m still going all out this weekend with my Spring Cleaning!
Every year as the snow melts and the trees start to bud, I get a burst of energy to rid the house of everything that reminds me of the long dreary winter. I say goodbye to the clutter that’s been sitting on tables since the New Year. I sweep up the dust bunnies that have been hiding under the couches since November. I pull out my faux plants, bunnies, and pastels. And I open the windows to let in the fresh scents of spring. NOTHING feels better than a clean, decluttered house for the start of a new season. It feels like you and your home can finally breathe again.
Usually, I’m not a big fan of cleaning. But Spring Cleaning is a mindset that I can get behind. I plan for it a week in advance and watch tons of “clean with me” videos on YouTube to get inspired. The morning of, I whip up some iced coffee, throw on my favorite 2010s playlists (yup, I clean to the music I used to pre-game to) and get to checking off my Spring Cleaning Checklist.
This is the one time of year that I like to keep a list of everything that I want to deep clean. I love the satisfaction of physically checking things off my to-do list. It motivates me to finish every single thing! My Spring Cleaning usually takes me an entire day (sometimes two if I get distracted) but it is always SO worth it!

It’s two pages that will cover your entire home to get it looking sparkly clean for Spring!
How do you attack your cleaning? I like to start the laundry, pick a room (usually I start with the kitchen) and declutter. Then I clean from top to bottom! (Literally. I always save the floors for last so that the dust and crud that I wipe away from fixtures/furniture/walls/baseboards can be vacuumed up.) Do you have any really great tips for Spring Cleaning? Leave them in the comments below, I’d love to read them!
I’ll be back tomorrow, with another Spring Cleaning inspired post! I’ll talk to you then 🙂
