Hi Friends! Happy Monday! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic start to your week and now you’re settled in at home relaxing.
I had a very Monday-y Monday. I’m just glad it’s over… and that we’re one day closer to the long weekend 🙂 This week, it’s all about #MDW on the blog. So be on the look out for some fun posts to inspire you to have the best first weekend of summer ever!
But before we can get to next weekend, we’ve got to get through the work week. I’m sitting here still thinking about how great last weekend was, and wishing I could rewind!
Our weekend started out when I got home from work on Friday. I closed, so I ordered a pizza as I left and it was delivered within seconds of me pulling into our driveway. Talk about good timing! We grabbed our dinner and headed out onto our patio to eat and enjoy our evening.
After we ate we hung up our string lights, and spent the evening listening to country music, drinking our favorite summer beers and playing the new Hook and Ring game Trev made for us! It was the most perfect night! (It’s been unseasonably hot here the past few days… so we were outside in shorts until 11 pm. It was amazing!)
Saturday we went on a breakfast date to Anna’s House! (One of our favorite breakfast restaurants.) It was hot and rainy so we spent a little extra time sipping on our coffee and eating our yummy food.
After breakfast we ran to Mendard’s and Home Depot to get a few things we needed for our yard. By the time we got home the rain had cleared and we were able to get outside! Trev worked in the yard, and I worked on my tan!
I also became and expert creep! Our neighbors are moving and their house went on the market a few days ago. I spent most of the day pretending to be asleep but really watching the people checking out the house and listening to them talk to their realtors in the back yard. 😂
Saturday Night we had planned a date night out on the patio, but we ended up switching up our plans! Our favorite Snow Bird, Trev’s Grandma, is home from Florida! She stopped at Trev’s parents house for the weekend before heading back up to Grayling today. We had initially planned to go down on Sunday to see her, but when Trev’s mom got called off of work, we ended up heading down on Saturday evening for a cook out. It was so good to see Grandma and of course give our niece and nephew a squeeze too!
When we got home we watched the second Spiderman movie (Loved it even more than the first!) and then crawled into bed.
We slept in on Sunday and spent the day relaxing in our backyard. I spent most of the day actually napping in the sunshine. It was the best day! But before I knew it, it was time to come inside and get ourselves ready for the week.
And today? Well, at least Monday is over.
How were your weekends? Are you counting down the days until Friday like we are? I’m so ready for a long weekend Up North!
Alright my loves, I’m off to shower and snuggle in with my book. I’ll be back tomorrow!
