Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We did, but as always, it went by wayyyy to fast. We were busy all weekend, so it felt like our down time was few and far between.
Our weekend started out last Friday when I got home from work. I was the closer, and I had some things I needed to catch up on so I stayed late to try to get a few things done. When I got home, it was time for date night! We had a date planned that I had been looking forward to ALL week long… it was Dip Date Night!
I was inspired by all the people having Dip Parties on TikTok. Only we made just a few dips for ourselves for date night. We had our classic favorite, Buffalo Chicken Dip, jalapeno popper dip (with the peppers we grew from our garden!), and pasta chips with whipped feta dip. They were all AMAZING. We had the best night sitting on our patio dipping away, and once the sun set we made a fire. It was a perfect night!
Saturday I was up early because I had some last minute errands to run before we left for a wedding. I went to approximately 47 different stores to try to buy a paint pen so I could finish up the gift I was working on.
When I got home, I put together their gift (how cute is this?! another TikTok find) and started getting ready to head to the wedding. We stopped at two breweries along the way that I had never been to, so that was super fun!
It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! (Not sharing too much, as this is one of my teachers from work, and I want to keep things private for her!)
Sunday we slept in and I woke up not feeling the greatest. No… I wasn’t hungover. I have a head cold and it started to catch up with me. All I wanted to do was spend the day on the couch watching the newest season of Outer Banks, but we had stuff to do! We spent the entire morning deep cleaning the house. It has been a few weeks since we have been able to really clean. By the time we were done, our house was sparkling! It took most of our day, but it was well worth it.
The second we finished cleaning I snuggled up on the couch to catch up with John B. I love John B. At first Trev didn’t want to watch but one episode in and he was hooked. We made it about half way through the new season, and I’m itching to watch the rest!
Sunday evening we spent folding laundry and relaxing. Just as I was hopping into bed Trev started yelling from the kitchen. Our garbage disposal leaked EVERYWHERE. So that was fun to clean up at 10:00 on a Sunday night. (We got it cleaned up pretty quickly at least!)
Today it was back to work and back to the grind. I’m still not feeling the best, so I’ll be heading to sleep extra early tonight. (Probably as soon as I finish this post!) We did take a minute to go get ice cream after work though… so that literally made my Monday!
So my loves, how was your weekend? I hope you got to do something fun!
I’ll be back tomorrow (I hope!) with my Book Review! I’m so excited to share it with you. I read so many good books this past month! I’ll see you then 🙂
