Hi Loves! Happy, happy Monday! I am coming to you another year older, and honestly not thrilled about it. (Take me back to being 25!) But before we hop into my birthday weekend, I need to tell you where I was last week!
I had my weekend round up written and ready to go. It included cute photos of my niece and nephew, a pumpkin patch and some yummy Fall treats. And guess what? The universe literally would not let me post it. First WordPress wasn’t working, then we got crazy storms and the wifi went out, then the next day, those same storms had me rolling in from work super late. By the time I finally had a chance to get it up, it was already Thursday. So I decided against it. But here are a few pictures I wanted to share anyways!
Now fast forward to this past weekend! We had a great weekend with my parents celebrating my birthday! It wasn’t the birthday weekend I had planned, but it was great none the less.
My weekend started out on Friday evening when I got out of work. I closed so I met my family at Granite City, one of my favorite spots around the corner from my job. I was so happy to give my parents the biggest hug, and drink the biggest beer!
Saturday morning we woke up and it was my birthday! For the first time in 32 years, it was raining. (I’ve never had a rainy day on my bday!) Which totally threw me for a loop. Our original plan? Head to the apple orchard and then take photos for my next Hudsonville collab. But the rain changed that. SO instead, we had a lazy morning at home.
We opened presents, had my favorite breakfast, and watched Gilmore Girls.
We decided to ditch the orchard and head out to do some antiquing! We went to a store I love that is half like a craft show and half an antique mall. I was so excited to find some treasures!
By the time we left the shop, the rain was heading out and the sky was starting to clear up! We went to a few more stores, grabbed some lunch and then headed home to take photos.
Saturday evening we made chili con carne and homemade rolls and watched Hocus Pocus! (Can you tell I got to pick the movie?) We had everything set up to watch outside on our projector but it got so cold so fast! We ended up moving inside, which was a bit of a bummer. But, I’m still glad I got to enjoy my favorite fall movie with my favorite people!
Sunday I woke up and wasn’t feeling the best. So instead of going out to breakfast like we had planned, my dad made pancakes before they packed up and headed back north. Trev and I spent the rest of the day trying to prep for the week and also relaxing.
I didn’t take very many pictures this weekend… so sorry for the lack of photos! How were your weekends? I hope you got to do something fun!
Alright my loves, I’m signing off for the night. I barely slept last night and I’m honestly falling asleep writing this! (Maybe it’s just the old age setting in?) I’ll be back tomorrow!
