The Coziest Couch You Ever Did See + Our Other New Furniture!

Hey Hey! Happy, happy Thursday my friends! I’m super excited about today’s post because I get to talk about a few of my new favorite things!

Forever ago, LONG before we bought our home, one of my most favorite Bachelor couples ever launched a line of home furnishings on Wayfair. I fell in love with their sofa they loving called The Pit and dreamt about having it in my home one day. It looked so cozy and so perfect for family movie nights.

Fast forward a few years, and we started looking for our first home. One major thing I cared about? A living room that we could fit The Pit into. I knew it was expensive, and I knew it was big, but I had wanted it forever and Trev was on board too.

Once all was said and done, and we finally owned our house, our new furniture wasn’t our priority. We had set money aside for it, but we wanted to make sure we had our new floor in and our walls done before we purchased it. During this time, as I started seeing how my home was shaping up, I decided we should measure to see how The Pit would fit into our living. And guys… it was almost as big as our entire living room.

I instantly realized that The Pit wasn’t going to look right in our space, so I decided to choose one of their other oversized sofas that would be a little bit smaller. And I couldn’t be happier that this is the route we went! Because we chose a smaller sofa, we were able to get their chair in a half. And let me tell you, if I never had to leave our chair in a half, I wouldn’t. It’s so dang cozy!

So today, I’m here to tell you a little bit more about our couch, our chair and a half, and the chairs in our den, all purchased from Wayfair!

It can be a little bit scary ordering big pieces of furniture online. Especially because you don’t get to see them in person, or sit on them first. For me, I always feel a little extra nervous because I know it will be a huge hassle if I don’t like something and have to send it back!

Luckily, we loved all of our purchases so we didn’t have to worry about it, and I think if you buy any of these pieces, you will love them too!

The Look. I don’t even know where to begin with this couch! It is SO comfortable, SO stylish, and SO everything we wanted when we envisioned our home. It has sleek, clean lines, that give it the modern feel we love, but an overall coziness that makes it feel like the cozy chair at your grandparents house that’s been there for ages and you sit in it every time you visit. The couch sits on a metal frame, making it not only look amazing, but also very sturdy. (This is a heavy freakin’ couch.)

The Fabric. The feel of this couch is insanely soft. I don’t know how to describe it really. It looks almost shiny in person (the one downside to this couch, IMO). In fact, when I first saw the fabric in person I said “OMG did we accidentally buy a velvet sofa?!” but when you touch it, it doesn’t feel like velvet. It’s super smooth and soft like velvet though!

The Size. This couch is HUGE. Like really, really huge. The pictures are a bit deceiving! Coming in at just over 9 feet long and 5 feet deep, you have ultimate space for lounging, or for guests to sleep on when they come to visit. (My dad loves to sleep on this couch!) What’s nice though, is if you have company that doesn’t want to lay back, you can build up the plush pillows behind them to make it a normal couch depth too.

The Delivery. A lot of the reviews on Wayfair mention that they had a hard time with the delivery of this product and that they didn’t get what they were supposed to. We didn’t experience this at all. The delivery team was super sweet and brought the huge boxes in for us. And when we took everything out, it was packaged really well!

Would I Recommend? Heck to the yes. 5 stars, this is the best couch ever! I can promise you that I will never get rid of it.

The Look. In the description it says that your search for the world’s greatest chair ends here. And I have to say… they are right. I’ve never sat in a cozier chair than this one! Like our sofa, it has a sleek, modern look that fits our home perfectly.

The Fabric. This fabric is slightly different than our couch, but it’s still just as soft!! It almost has a marbled effect of tan and beige.

The Size. This chair is also HUGE. Like way bigger than we expected it to be! We even measured and when it was delivered our jaws about hit the floor. We thought we may have to send it back because it felt too large for our living room. But the second we sat in it, we knew that wasn’t an option! We re-arranged the living room so many times to make it fit! And it does 🙂 It’s not the prettiest picture perfect option, but it’s for sure the coziest!! We comfortably can sit three people in it… FYI. (Yup. It’s that big.)

The Delivery. We had the same delivery experience as we did with our couch!

Would I Recommend? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YOU NEED THIS CHAIR IN YOUR LIFE and I can’t shout it at you enough! Seriously. If you’re looking for a new chair, this is the one!

The Look. These mid century modern club chairs are SO pretty. They were the perfect addition to our den! They look expensive… but are super affordable!

The Fabric. These chairs are really nice, but not nearly as cozy as our other purchases! They are a firm chair though, so we weren’t expecting them to feel plush to begin with.

The Size. These chairs are super roomy! I like them because I can sit sideways in them (my favorite way to sit in chairs) with plenty of space!

The Delivery. These chairs came with Wayfair’s 2 day shipping! Trev was easily able to bring them inside and assemble them himself! They were packaged with the arms inside the chair base. It took him less than 10 minutes a chair!

Would I Recommend? If you’re looking for chairs that look good, and you don’t mind a firmer piece of furniture, than yes! We chose these specifically for the style. We knew that they wouldn’t be used as often as our living room furniture, so we didn’t mind that weren’t as cozy as other pieces of furniture we own.
