Everyone says that your skin changes in your thirties. I’m not quite sure what that means yet… but all I can picture is sagging, wrinkling, and spotting.
Okay, okay. Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic. BUT now that I’m 30, I know that I need to get into better skin care habits so I can look like Jennifer Aniston does in 20 years.
I adopted two of these new habits in the last half of my 29th year, and I can honestly say, they’ve made a HUGE difference. The other habit, is something I’m just starting to try. And I’m really excited about it because I heard a rumor Meghan Markle and Jennifer Aniston do it too!
So whether you’re getting #old like me, or still a perfect 20 something with the skin of a new born baby, you should try these three things to keep your skin looking it’s best.
I Shave My Face…
And You Should Too!
Last year, I started shaving my face! And no… not like with shaving cream and a big razor like my husband. I did a TON of research on dermaplaning and how beneficial it is for your skin. I was sold pretty much instantly when I read up on it, but didn’t want to shell out the money to get it done by a professional.
This is when I found a TREASURE TROVE of videos on YouTube by all my favorite beauty gurus explaining about why they shave their face at home! My girl Jaclyn Hill will it explain it WAY better than me, so if you’re curious about it, watch her below!
I follow her steps exactly! The only difference is that I use these razors because I can get them easily at my grocery store.

I stand by this technique 10,000 percent. My skin is so smooth, my makeup goes on so much better, my products soak in like a dream and no. My hair DOES NOT grow back darker.
Oh. And there is something seriously satisfying about scraping the peach fuzz and dead skin off your face.
I Moisturize… Morning and Night
This isn’t anything new and exciting. But it’s crazy what moisturizing your face day and night does for your skin! I’ve found that I really love my Olay Whips moisturizer. It smells really good, it’s light on my skin and I know that Olay helps keep your skin looking young! (My mom has only used Olay products since her 20s and she looks amazing!)
I’m Trying A New Type
Of Workout… Face Yoga.
When my friends over at Rory reached out with 11 Face Yoga Exercises for Anti-Aging, Slimming and More literally DAYS after I turned 30, I took it as a sign to add some face yoga into my nightly routine!
Every night for the past two weeks, Trev and I have tried Face Yoga before heading to bed! Here is a sneak peak at what you’ll find in their How To guide!
Now, I think it’s still too early to tell if it’s working for us or not, but you can bet I’ll give you an update in a few months! Fingers crossed it helps keep my wrinkles at bay!
